WHO IS THIS?
Keana Walters is an illustrator and multidisciplinary artist from Brooklyn, NY, who recently graduated with a BFA in Illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design. Their work ranges from comics and tattooing to animation and painting. They’re currently most devoted to their comics project titled Doug’s Demise and painting using skateboards as a canvas.
Their art explores themes of identity, queerness, and transmuting the lower depths of emotions and life circumstances into works of wonder, bringing escapist worlds to life in a variety of mediums, ranging from oil paint to digital curation.
Outside of creating, they're active in the gym, rock climbing, soccer, and biking as well as reading many books, comics, manga, watching films, and indulging in animations of every variety but especially 2D animation, and anime.
